Volunteers4Oborevwori is more than a movement name. It is a call to action by Deltans who have seen what focused, empathetic leadership can deliver, and who want government to feel even closer to home. This movement is rooted in the record Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has built since 2023 under his MORE Agenda — Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.
From rebuilding roads, bridges and flyovers across all three senatorial districts to growing the state's internally generated revenue while reducing debt, the foundation has been laid. This movement mobilises volunteers across every LGA who believe that progress in Delta State must be sustained, extended, and brought directly to every community.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of this effort. Men and women from every senatorial district, every town, and every background, united by one conviction: that Delta State's best chapter is still being written, and every volunteer has a part to play in writing it.
Key Milestones
Grassroots Beginnings
Began public service as a councillor in Okpe Local Government Area, starting a 19-year journey through grassroots and legislative politics in Delta State.
Elected to the House of Assembly
Elected member representing Okpe State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, building a reputation for fairness and deep understanding of governance.
Speaker of the House
Served as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, becoming the first lawmaker in the state to be elected Speaker for consecutive terms.
Elected Governor
Won the Delta State governorship election and was sworn in on May 29, 2023, launching the MORE Agenda of meaningful development, opportunities, reform, and security.
The Mandate Continues
Completing the mission. Stronger fiscal health, expanded infrastructure, better healthcare and education, and shared prosperity for every Deltan by renewing the mandate.
